Dr. Mike Clumpner

Mike Clumpner, PhD, MBA, NREMT-P, SHRM-CP is a co-founder and President/Chief Executive Officer at Threat Suppression, Incorporated. Mike has a doctoral degree in homeland security leadership and policy from Northcentral University where he graduated with highest honors. Mike conducted his dissertation research on integrated active shooter response. Mike has lectured globally on numerous topics, personally training more than 150,000 responders on four continents. Multiple U.S. federal agencies and NATO allies have recognized Mike as an international expert on active shooter and counter-terrorism prevention, response, and recovery. Mike's training is directly credited with stopping 15 active shooter events at schools and businesses.

Mike is also a full-time fire battalion chief with the Charlotte Fire Department where he commands one of the busiest of the eight battalions in the city. He is a 30-year veteran of the fire service, with 27 years’ experience as a career firefighter and a paramedic. Mike is currently the senior shift battalion chief and also acts as division chief (Citywide Commander). Before promotion to battalion chief, Mike served as a fire captain for nine years. During his time as a captain, he spent three years in the Special Operations Division assigned to one of two heavy rescue companies in the city, and five years on a busy ladder company that responded to 3,500 emergencies each year. Mike has served for 18 years as a member of North Carolina Urban Search and Rescue Taskforce 3 and has deployed to multiple disaster events. In 2018, Mike served as the Task Force Leader during a 17-day deployment of the US&R taskforce to Hurricane Florence. The deployment to Hurricane Florence was the largest deployment of local, state, and federal assets to a disaster in United States' history.

Shawn A. Brokos became a Special Agent (SA) for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) on January 7, 1996 and retired December 31, 2019 after spending 24 years in federal law enforcement. After graduating from Quantico, she was assigned to the Newark (NJ) Division, where she worked Public Corruption, Gangs and Violent Crimes, and RICO-based investigations.

After 18 years in Newark, SA Brokos transferred to the Pittsburgh Division, where, from 2014 to 2016, she supervised the Complex Financial Crime Program, and established a Health Care Fraud Task Force (HCFTF) to tackle the onset of the Opioid Epidemic. From 2017 to 2018, Supervisory Special Agent (SSA) Brokos established a new Opioid Squad, comprised of the HCFTF, an Opiate Overdose Task Force, and a Darknet Fentanyl Task Force. The focus was to dismantle the supply of illegal opioids and opiates that were responsible for the high number of fatal overdoses in Western PA.  Those efforts contributed to a 43% decrease in fatal overdoses in Western PA from 2017 to 2018, while the state saw an 18% decrease and the US saw a 5% decrease.

In 2019, SSA Brokos became the supervisor for the Civil Rights, Public Corruption, and Complex Financial Crime Squad.  The priority of this Squad was the prosecution of Hate Crimes, and SSA Brokos oversaw the Tree of Life investigation (US v. Robert Bowers).

In addition to her work as a squad supervisor, she was a Bureau-certified Crisis Negotiator since 2001and served as the Coordinator for Pittsburgh’s Crisis Negotiation Team from 2015-2018. From May 2018 to December 2019, she served as the FBI Pittsburgh’s Crisis Management Coordinator (CMC).  She had a leading role in the FBI's Pittsburgh Training Team who received the 2016 FBI Director’s Award for Excellence in Training and Professional Development.

In January 2019, Brokos began her role as Director of Community Security for the Jewish Federation of Pittsburgh where she currently oversees physical security enhancements, Active Threat training, threat mitigation, and law enforcement and community liaison for the 50+ organizations that comprise Jewish Pittsburgh. From January 2020 to the present, Brokos has overseen the installation and training for the BluePoint emergency alert system in 16 Jewish locations, facilitated over $2.5M in state and federal security grant awards for Jewish organizations, distributed life-saving GoBags to over 520 classrooms and facilities, and trained over 6,200 members of the community


Bradley Orsini
Senior National Security Advisor | The Jewish Federations of North America

Bradley W. Orsini joined the Secure Community Network (SCN) as the Senior National Security Advisor in January 2020. SCN is the official safety and security organization for the Jewish community in North America, formed under the auspices of The Jewish Federations of North America and the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations. In his role, Mr. Orsini provides security consultations, training, and direct response to critical incidents to Jewish Communities across North America.

From January 2017 to January 2020, Mr. Orsini served the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh as its first Director of Community Security. Mr. Orsini developed a Communal Security program that provided security consultations, building/organizational assessments, training/drills and threat mitigation to over 60 organizations to include schools, day care centers, synagogues, camps, assisted living facilities and various other Jewish organizations. In three years, Mr. Orsini provided security training and awareness to over 16,000 individuals in the Greater Pittsburgh area and the country. 

Prior to joining the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh, Mr. Orsini was a Special Agent (SA) of the Federal Bureau of Investigation from September 1988 until his retirement in December 2016. Upon completion of training in Quantico, Virginia, SA Orsini was transferred to the Newark, NJ Division of the FBI. SA Orsini spent over 16 years investigating violent crimes, gangs, drug organizations, public corruption and civil rights cases. After the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, SA Orsini was selected to supervise the New Jersey response in which he led all searches and arrests with a group of federal, state and local law enforcement officials. 

In 2004, SA Orsini was transferred to the Pittsburgh Division where he was assigned to the Public Corruption/Civil Rights Squad. In September 2007, SA Orsini was promoted to Supervisory Special Agent (SSA) where he supervised the Public Corruption/Civil Rights Squad. SSA Orsini also supervised the Training and Community Outreach Programs and was the Crisis Management Coordinator for the Pittsburgh Division. Prior to joining the FBI, Mr. Orsini was on active duty as an officer in the United States Marine Corps attaining the rank of Captain. Mr. Orsini earned a Bachelor of Science in Administration of Justice from the Pennsylvania State University.

Sergeant Noe Cortez:

Sergeant Cortez has been employed with the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office for over 19 years. Since 2011, Sergeant Cortez has been assigned to the Sheriff’s Office Investigations Division. While assigned to the Investigations Division, Sergeant Cortez’s assignments included Missing Persons, Juvenile Crimes, and Sexual Assaults. Since 2016, Sergeant Cortez has been assigned to the Homicide/Major Crimes Unit with four years in the Cold Case Unit. Sergeant Cortez is currently assigned to the Cold Case Unit. As a collateral duty, Sergeant Cortez has over ten years of crime scene investigations experience.  As a crime scene investigator, Sergeant Cortez has processed crimes that include active shooter incidents, homicides, child deaths, suicides, jail deaths, officer-involved shootings, and sexual assaults.

Chief Joseph Deras:

Joseph Deras is a 30-year law enforcement veteran who has been very fortunate to serve twenty-eight of those years with a group of highly trained, motivated and professional California law enforcement officers. In 2020 he was selected as the Chief of Police for the Glenwood Springs Police Department in Colorado.  He has held a variety of assignments throughout his career including Press Information Officer, gang/narcotics detective, K-9 handler, defensive tactics instructor and gang/narcotics task force supervisor. In that capacity he initiated the largest undercover (storefront) career criminal - criminal street/prison gang investigation in the county’s history. In 2014 he was promoted to Police Captain where he ultimately led the Special Operations Division.  He is a proud graduate of the FBI National Academy’s 265th session. He has been an adjunct professor at the college level and continues to serve as a police academy faculty member.  In 2019, he oversaw the criminal investigation and media relations of the Gilroy Garlic Festival mass shooting. He has spoken and provides training to regional public safety executives, elected officials and first responders regarding responses, training and mass casualty preparedness. Joseph holds a bachelor’s degree and his master’s degree is in Public Safety Leadership.

Alyssa Dooley

Alyssa is an analyst for the Wisconsin Statewide Intelligence Center in the Threat Analysis Unit where she researches national security topics. She received her Master of International Public Affairs degree from the University of Wisconsin—Madison.

Firefighter/Paramedic Mark Ericson:

Mark Ericson is a Firefighter/ Paramedic TEMS with the Bristol Fire Department. Mark has spent 15 years in EMS in both private and municipal fire-based services, currently serving as shift officer and EMS Coordinator for the Village of Bristol Fire Department as well as Service Director for Kenosha County TEMS. A lead member of the county system instructor cadre, he holds instructor certifications in multiple EMS and TCCC/TECC disciplines and has been instrumental in successfully fielding multiple operational medicine initiatives regionally. He is married to his wife Hayley and has three boys.

Special Agent Wayne Freeman:

Wayne Freeman has been in law enforcement for 27 years and is a Senior Special Agent with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, supervising the State Active Shooter and CCTA Training Program.  He has worked and trained with personnel from Sandy Hook, the Naval Yard Shooting, STEM Shooting, Mother Emanuel, Columbine, Aurora, Townville, Oakland Elementary, Stoneman Douglas, and many other incidents.  He has conducted active violence training for telecommunication personnel across the United States and for first responders from several countries.


Chief William "Bill" Godfrey:

William “Bill” Godfrey retired as Chief of the Deltona (FL) Fire Department after 25 years in the fire service. He is the CEO of C3 Pathways, a law enforcement and fire/EMS training group specializing in Active Shooter Incident Management (ASIM). Bill is a lead instructor and curriculum developer for several DHS-certified national curricula, national speaker, researcher, and innovator. He is the principal technology architect at C3 Pathways and directs software development of simulation and training systems. For more than 20 years, Bill has pushed the technology boundaries to improve training for law enforcement, fire, EMS, 911, and Emergency Management.

Emergency Preparedness Assistant Coordinator Cindy Holmes:

Deputy Cindy Holmes Graduated from Univ. of Oklahoma in 1985 with a BA in Social Work.  Cindy worked for the Oklahoma Department of Corrections as a prison unit Case Manager and high-risk Probation/Parole agent from 1985-1989.  She worked for Wisconsin State Capital Police Department from 1990-1991 and was hired by the Dane County Sheriff’s Office in 1991. Cindy served as a Community Deputy, Grenadier for Special Events Team and Taser/Less Lethal Instructor.  In 2015 she received the DCSO Medal of Valor award and the Meritorious Service Award from the WPPA. 

Cindy retired in January 2017, returning to DCSO in April 2017 as the Dane County Emergency Preparedness Assistant Coordinator.  She is a certified Instructor for Stop the Bleed, ALERRT Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events, ALICE active shooter training and ASIM (Active Shooter Incident Management).  She has also been trained in Mental Health First Aid and Youth Mental Health First Aid.  Cindy has presented at many conferences including the Badger State Sheriff’s conference, Wisconsin Emergency Management Conference and the National Sheriff’s Conference on the topic of civilian response to active assailant incidents.


Lieutenant Russ Howard:

Russ Howard is a Lieutenant in the Austin Fire Department, the 11th largest city in the United States.  He has 17 years in the Fire Service currently serving as an officer in Special Operations.  He is an instructor for ALERRT (Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training) at Texas State University teaching active attack response and medical skills since 2017.


Special Agent Jay Jurci:

Jay Jurci is a Special Agent (SA) with the Wisconsin Department of Justice – Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) and is assigned to the Wisconsin Statewide Intelligence Center (WSIC).  WSIC is the state’s primary fusion center that serves as a focal point for threat intelligence sharing among law enforcement, public safety, and private sector partners.  SA Jurci also serves as a task force officer and squad coordinator with FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force in Milwaukee. SA Jurci has over 24 years of law enforcement experience. 


Detective Timothy Keller:

Timothy Keller is a Detective with the Milwaukee Police Department, currently assigned to the Cold Case Homicide Unit.  Tim was hired as a Police Aide over 20 years ago.  After being promoted to Police Officer, he worked on the Anti-Gang Unit on the South Side of Milwaukee, the Tactical Enforcement Unit, and at the Intelligence Fusion Center.  Tim was promoted to Detective in 2014 and was quickly brought over to the homicide unit in 2015.  

Tim and his partner were at the scene of the Miller Brewing / Molson Coors active shooter on February 26, 2020 and were assigned as the primary investigators.  Tim interviewed the only eyewitness at the scene and in the following weeks, was responsible for organizing and completing all follow-up, debriefing with the victims' families, and providing a summary of the entire investigation to Molson Coors executives.  


Assistant Medical Director Benjamin Kessel:

Benjamin Kessel, M.S., PA-C, NRP, CAQ-EM is the Assistant Medical Director, Kenosha County EMS/TEMS Department of Emergency Medicine, Froedtert South. Ben has spent 22 years in EMS, currently practicing as a Physician Assistant in Emergency Medicine in Kenosha. In 2012 he founded the Kenosha Sheriff’s Department TEMS team, leading to his ongoing commitment to actively forge closer relationships and optimize operations between the LE and EMS professions. In addition to providing medical direction for several county EMS services, Ben is a regional educator and consultant specializing in operational medicine training for multiple LE agencies and private industry. His experience in providing care in a wide variety of subspecialties ranging from EMS/TEMS, sports medicine, and critical care have helped shape his unique approach to teaching concepts of prehospital medicine.

Deputy Josalyn Longley:

Deputy Josalyn Longley Graduated from Univ of Wisconsin Oshkosh in 2000 where she played softball for 4 years and received a BA in Criminal Justice.  She has been with the Dane County Sheriff’s Office since November 2000 where she started working in the Dane County Jail.  In 2005 she was promoted to a Community Deputy and worked out of the West Precinct. She worked close with other agencies and the community to problem solve regarding issues in the community and with families. She also gave many community presentations on drug and internet safety. 

In 2016 Deputy Longley was asked to create and take on the role as the Dane County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Preparedness Coordinator and is conducting presentations, training, and meetings on Active Assailant Preparedness.  Within the first year, Deputy Longley presented to approximately 4700 people on Preparedness for Active Shooter and Violence within the Workplace and Community and to date has trained over 22,000 people in the Dane County area. 

In 2017 she was presented with the National Sheriffs Association Medal of Merit and Wisconsin American Legion Law and Order of the year award.  Deputy Longley has presented at many conferences including the Badger State Sheriff’s Conference, Wisconsin Emergency Management Conference, and the National Sheriffs Conference.  She is a committee member for the Wisconsin Active Threat Integrated Response Conference and is a certified Instructor for Stop the Bleed, ALERRT Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events, Active Shooter Incident Management, and ALICE active shooter training.  She is also a member of the Dane County Sheriff’s Office Hostage Negotiation Team. 

 

Major Christopher Malson:

Major Christopher Malson graduated from the Dayton Police Academy in December 2001 and initially was assigned to patrol.  In 2004, he became a member of the Special Weapons and Tactics team and in 2006, he became a member of the Tactical Long Rifle team, and in 2019, he ended his time on the team as the Commander.  Since 2008, he has been a member of the instructor cadre for the National Tactical Officer Association, teaching tactics to police officers and SWAT teams across the nation, specializing in active killer events.  He was promoted to Sergeant in 2013 and assigned as a patrol supervisor.  In 2015, he graduated from the Sienna Heights University with a bachelor’s degree in Law Enforcement.  In 2017, he was promoted to Lieutenant and assigned as the Training Supervisor for the Dayton Police Academy.  In March of 2019, he was promoted to Major and became the Commander for the West Patrol Operations Division and Incident Commander. 


Battalion Chief Damian McKeon:

Damian McKeon is a Battalion Chief serving in the Austin Fire Department. His career in the Fire Service has spanned 27 years and 26 years as an EMT Paramedic.  Former US Army Special Forces soldier who served as an 18D on SFODA 9132.  He has instructed and trained around the world for many foreign governments while representing the United States of America and has been teaching for ALERRT since 2010. Damian is the Chair of the Austin Fire Department Active Attack Working Group and High Rise Firefighting Working Group.

Assistant Director Carrie Meier:

Assistant Director Carrie Meier started her career in Physical Therapy and volunteering in EMS.   Soon she found her passion for Emergency Medical Services and started in the role of EMS Specialist in 2005 for Dane County Emergency Management.   In that time, she has received her Wisconsin Emergency Management Certification and has moved into the role of Assistant Director.   Meier is known for her ability to bring partners to the table and solve problems, improve systems and develop new programs.   She is a CPR Instructor Trainer thru AHA, Stop the Bleed Instructor, Emergency Vehicle Operations Instructor and ASIM trainer.   She has worked closely with the public safety partners to develop the Active Threat Coordinated Incident Guidance Document.  She is also a member of the Dane County Incident Management Team.


Chief Terry Nichols:

Terry Nichols currently serves as the Chief of Police for the City of Seguin, Texas Police Department and is the former Chief of the Brownwood Police Department.  Prior to becoming Chief, he served as both the Assistant Director and Director of Curriculum Development for the Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training Center (ALERRT) at Texas State University.  Terry is one of three founding members who initiated and led the creation of the internationally recognized ALERRT Center at Texas State University which provides active shooter/threat training to police, fire and EMS personnel across the United States.  

Terry has more than 33 years law enforcement experience including 21 years with the San Marcos, Texas Police Department and 3 years as Chief of the Brownwood, Texas Police Department.  He is a co-author for the book Active Shooter Events and Response published by CRC Press in June 2013 and “Active Shooter Events from 2000-2012” published in the FBI Law Enforcement Bulletin January 2014.  Terry frequently speaks at national and international conferences on the active shooter threat, officer safety, and law enforcement organizational leadership.  He has a Bachelor of Science Degree and a Master of Science Degree from Southwest Texas State University.   


Officer Rich O’Connor:

Rich O'Connor has been a police officer with the City of Middleton for 24 years. He has served as a patrol officer, a field training officer and a school resource officer for the high school and middle school. Rich is a member of the training team where he teaches firearms, less lethal impact munitions, fitness, and active shooter response. He also trains businesses in Middleton what to do in the case of an active shooter.


Detective Sergeant Joseph Piazza:

Joseph Piazza is a Detective Sergeant with the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office, currently assigned to the Homicide/Major Crimes Unit. He has been employed with the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office for over 12 years and has worked in various assignments, including Field Training Officer, Patrol Sergeant, Jail Crimes Detective, Sexual Assault Detective, and Homicide/Major Crimes Unit Detective. Sergeant Piazza has specialized training in officer involved incidents, homicide investigations, and use of force investigations. Sergeant Piazza has experience investigating a multitude of crimes including active shooter incidents, homicides, child deaths, suicides, jail deaths, officer involved incidents and sexual assaults. Sergeant Piazza holds the collateral duty of being a Public Safety Bomb Technician. In 2018, he attended the FBI’s Hazardous Devices School in Huntsville, Alabama. Sergeant Piazza’s responsibilities include responding to suspicious devices, dignitary protective sweeps, and protective sweeps at large sporting events and concerts.

Lieutenant Kenneth D. Urquhart

Lt Urquhart is a 29-year veteran of the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department and is currently assigned to the 1st Shift Patrol Division.  Lt. Urquhart was the Kenosha County Tactical Response Team Commander from 1992-2021.  During the 2020 Civil Unrest in Kenosha, Wisconsin, Lt. Urquhart was part of Tactical Command.  This was a unified command position involving several tactical commanders, bomb squad commander, crowd control commander and EMS/Fire Command.  This group was tasked with overall tactical operations, supporting patrol operations, officer rescue, EMS/Fire support, dignitary protection and integration of specialty groups from State and Federal Agencies.


Assistant Chief Clifford Woitena:

Clifford Woitena started his career with the League City (Texas) Police Department in 1999 and serves as an Assistant Chief of Police for the organization. Cliff has a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Midwestern State University, a Master’s in Leadership and Management from Sam Houston State University, and a Graduate Certificate in Criminal Justice Education from the University of Virginia.  He is a graduate of the 258th Session of the FBI’s National Academyand is also a graduate of the Law Enforcement Management Institute of Texas’ Leadership Command College. Cliff has received 3 Medals of Valor from the League City Police Department, an Officer of the Year Award for Heroism from the 100 Club of Houston, an Officer of the Year Award from the League City Citizens Police Academy, and numerous other awards and commendations.

Cliff has worked in numerous capacities within the police department, but one constant in his career has been his 17+ year assignment to the agency’s Special Weapons and Tactics Team (SWAT). Currently, Cliff serves as the overall commander for the SWAT unit, which is a tri-city regional team. He is also a nationally recognized instructor for both the Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training (ALERRT) Center (since 2005) and the Safariland Training Group (since 2009) in the areas of Active Shooter Response, Special Operations, Firearms and Patrol Response Tactics.

Cliff values the opportunity to serve not only the men and women of the League City Police Department but is honored to have spent his career serving his community. Of his accomplishments, Cliff is most proud of his role as a husband and father of four wonderful children.


Dr. Brett Van Ess:

Dr. Brett Van Ess is an Analyst with the Wisconsin Statewide Intelligence Center.  Brett has previously worked national security for the U.S. government, think-tanks and military. Brett earned his PhD from King’s College, London.

CRCC Course:

Captain Carl Keller III:

Carl has been serving with the Fayetteville Fire Department, in Northwest Arkansas, for the past 12 years and is currently a Captain on a Rescue Company.  He has spent nearly his entire career involved in special operations to include HazMat, Helicopter Rescue/Disaster Medic Response and Tactical Medicine.  He has helped prepare both local citizens and First Responders via deliveries of ACS Stop the Bleed and ALERRT Civilian Response & Casualty Care (CRCC) for the past several years.  He helped launch and facilitate an aggressive effort throughout his region to enhance response to Active Attacks via integrated training with all parties involved.  He has experience assisting agencies, both Law Enforcement & Fire, with developing response guidelines, policies, and training to maximize integrated operational capabilities.  

Carl is a sworn reserve deputy through Washington County, Arkansas and he has served as an operational Tactical Medic on a regional SWAT team since 2015.  Carl continues to learn, study and deliver training nationwide with respect to Active Attack/ASHER events as an ALERRT Adjunct.  He holds a bachelor's degree in International & Military Affairs from the Citadel and his graduate studies are in Cultural Anthropology with a focus on community resilience in the face of disaster.

Lieutenant Cory J. Macumber:  

Cory has been serving with the Urbandale Fire Department, a suburb of Des Moines, Iowa for the past 15 years and is currently a Lieutenant.  Cory developed Urbandale’s response SOPs for active attack and was involved with planning and developing the county wide plan as well.  Cory started his career in 1997 as a volunteer, became a paramedic in 2001 with a rural Iowa hospital-based agency and obtained an Iowa Critical Care endorsement in 2004.  Cory served in the Iowa Army National Guard from 1996-2002 and received his Associate of Applied Science in EMS from Indian Hills Community College in 2008.  Cory has been and Adjunct Instructor with Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training (ALERRT) since 2018.

Division Chief Mark Rhame:

Mark Rhame retired as Division Chief of Operations for the Orange County Fire Rescue Department (FL), the fourth largest fire rescue department in the State of Florida. Mark has a Masters degree in Public Administration, with over 32 years of fire rescue experience, including ten years in a managerial role. The last 30 years he worked with and supervised over one thousand employees, forty-one fire stations and an overall budget of one hundred and sixty million dollars.  Mark was instrumental in the development and implementation of enhanced firefighter identification program. He was a committee member for the takeover of EMS transport from the private provider to the current fire rescue based emergency and non-emergency EMS transport system currently in use in Orange County, FL. Mark served as president of Orange County Professional Firefighters from 1994-2001 and Secretary/Treasurer from 1990-1994.

 

Lieutenant Kevin Burd:

Kevin Burd is the Director of Training for C3 Pathways and a retired Law Enforcement Officer with 21 years of experience in Major Crimes Investigations, SWAT, Homeland Security, Emergency Management, School Safety, and Active Threat / Crisis Response training. His current focal point is to provide schools, educators, civilians, businesses, houses of worship and first responders training to help prevent, prepare, respond and recover from acts of active violence through nationally recognized programs and in collaboration with subject-matter experts who have either personally responded to or been directly involved in some of this nation’s most tragic mass casualty incidents or school shootings.

Special Agent Wayne Freeman:

Wayne Freeman has been in law enforcement for 27 years and is a Senior Special Agent with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, supervising the State Active Shooter and CCTA Training Program.  He has worked and trained with personnel from Sandy Hook, the Naval Yard Shooting, STEM Shooting, Mother Emanuel, Columbine, Aurora, Townville, Oakland Elementary, Stoneman Douglas, and many other incidents.  He has conducted active violence training for telecommunication personnel across the United States and for first responders from several countries.


Special Agent Josh Wallace:

Josh Wallace is a Special Agent with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division.  He has been in law enforcement for fifteen years, and is currently assigned to the Active Shooter and CCTA Training Unit.  His instructor certifications include:  ALERRT Level 1, ALERRT AAIR, ALERRT SORD, ALERRT CRASE, ALERRT CRCC, ALICE, FLETC Basic Tactical Medical, FLETC Active Threat, PACOP, and Stop the Bleed.  He has worked and trained with personnel from Aurora, Platt Canyon, Sandy Hook, Townville, Parkland, and many others.

Paramedic Siri Kahalsa:

Siri Khalsa possesses 34 years of experience in pre-hospital medicine. The scope of experience covers pre-hospital traditional 911, search and rescue, ski patrol/mountain rescue, critical care, flight paramedic, disaster medicine. Siri Khalsa also worked overseas in high-threat areas as a medic for the US Government, including EOD and PSD operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. He is currently with a Sheriff's Office in Northern New Mexico, ALERRT adjunct faculty, flight paramedic in south eastern NM as well as teaching for several other entities.


Captain Chris McKeown:

Captain Chris McKeown is a Paramedic for Jacksonville Fire & Rescue in his 19th year of service.  Captain McKeown has also been an Auxiliary Police Officer for the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office since 2010, where he operates as a Tactical Medic.  Captain McKeown is a Board Certified Critical Care Paramedic (CCP-C) and Flight Paramedic (FP-C).  He has been an Adjunct Instructor with the Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training (ALERRT) program since 2018 and has delivered training throughout the country.  Captain McKeown is also a United States Marine Corps Combat Veteran.
