Presenter Biography’s

 

Judy Pal:

With more than 30 years’ experience, Judy Pal has served in management positions for police, private sector and the professional sports and entertainment industry in both Canada and the U.S. 

Prior to embarking on a full-time teaching and consulting career she served as an Assistant Commissioner with the NYPD, Director of Operations for FBI-LEEDA, Chief of Staff with the Baltimore and Milwaukee Police Departments and was a member of the command staff of the Atlanta, Savannah, and Halifax (Canada) police departments.

She is proud to have conducted image and media training for more than 200 commanders with the NYPD and thousands of law enforcement professionals during her more than two decades of work in law enforcement. She is also a regular contributing trainer at FBI Regional Command Colleges across the country.

She has consulted for international police agencies in Canada, Chile and Trinidad and has taught and spoken at events across North America, as well as Australia, Uruguay and Manilla.

Pal is a past president of the National Information Officers Association, holds a Master’s Degree in Public Relations and earned her Certificate in Police Leadership from Dalhousie University in Canada.

She spent five years in television news and is the proud owner of a Stanley Cup ring from the Edmonton Oilers and worked for the New York Rangers and Madison Square Garden.


Deputy Trevor Bilgo

21-year Law Enforcement Career with the Brown County Sheriff’s Office, currently serving as the Training Lieutenant.  Member of the WI Law Enforcement Death Response team, WI DOJ Peer Support training team, Coordinator for the Brown County Sheriff’s Office Peer Support Team, Sheriff’s Office CISM lead member, Sheriff’s Office Crisis Negotiator Team Leader, Wisconsin Crisis Negotiators Association Board member.


Col Brenda Dietzman (Ret.):

Col. Brenda Dietzman​ (Ret.) is a passionate speaker who has more than 28 years of law enforcement and corrections experience. Upon retiring she co-founded Wayfinder Consulting, LLC., an organization that provides evidence-based training solutions and inspiring presentations for individual and organizational improvement delivered by caring professionals. She has presented at numerous national, state and local events for both private and public sector organizations. Her areas of expertise include: resilience, generations, recruiting and retention, leadership, developing women leaders, and ethics. Her company also consults with organizations to improve processes and provides ways to strengthen and grow relationships between public and private entities.  In 2019, Col. Dietzman retired from the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office as the undersheriff in charge of jail operations. She oversaw two facilities with a total population of 1400+ inmates, 300+ employees and a $33 million budget. During her time in law enforcement, she also served as the captain in charge of the Patrol Division and the Judicial Division, a lieutenant in both the Patrol Division and the Special Project Unit, a Community Policing sergeant, detective, and deputy. During her career, she was awarded two bronze medals of Meritorious Conduct, two bronze medals of Outstanding Service, and the Core Value Award from the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office. Also, she was named the ASIS Officer of the Year, Wichita Crime Commission Officer of the Year, Thomas Hopkins Post & Aux. Officer of the Year, Sedgwick County Board of County Commission Chairman's Award Recipient, Wichita Crime Commission Humanitarian of the Year, and the American Red Cross Volunteer of the Year.   She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Administration of Justice from Wichita State University. She completed the Mini-MPA from Wichita State University. She enjoys traveling, photography, mountain biking, running, and reading. She is married and has three adorable rescue dogs.
