Supporting Growth After Tragedy is a no-cost, in-person, six-hour post-traumatic growth and resilience training for policing professionals.

All trainings will be co-facilitated by a skilled and knowledgeable mental health professional and policing professional.

During this training attendees will:

  • Explore the impacts tragedy has at individual and agency level.
  • Identify and practice resilience skills to manage the impacts of tragedy on individual and agency levels.
  • Create a Post-Tragedy Resilience Plan.

This training program focuses on providing attendees with the tools they need to ensure their agency and staff are prepared for the high stress nature of their work.  

During this training attendees will gain:

  • An understanding of the tools available for agencies and staff related to mental health and wellness.
  • The many facets of a holistic approach to wellness and the interplay between them.
  • Provided examples of agencies that have taken proactive steps and succeeded.
  • The concept of individual resilience and how it can be improved.
  • The concept of creating a resilient culture in their organization.
