STRESS MANAGEMENT FOR EMERGENCY SERVICES
The world of emergency services and the medical field is challenging. For most of us we enter this profession trying to change the world and when we leave the profession we find the world has changed us. Trauma is part of the job description, but there are ways to manage it and thrive personally and professionally.
This course will take a deep dive into why you do what you do, the geography of the brain, the science of stress, and how to mitigate our exposure to trauma. This is an interactive session that combines logic and emotion into a tutorial of career survival. Participants will learn the impact of trauma on their neurological make up and how to alter it.
Wednesday, February 14 at 10:00 AM
If you have ever taken a bad day at work home, this course is a must for you. This course will help all participants understand the management of stress and how it can improve job satisfaction and engagement in your personal lives. This course is provided to law enforcement, nurses, physicians, paramedics, EMT’s, social workers, and all who serve the public.

"DNA NEEDED" FLAG - UPDATES ON LAWFULLY OWED DNA
Wisconsin has one of the most robust set of laws requiring individuals to provide a DNA sample. We are one of only two states that requires a DNA sample for all misdemeanor convictions. We have identified approximately 13,500 people with qualifying convictions who have not provided their DNA sample to the state. The WSCL estimates that 2-3% of samples received will generate an investigative lead.
“DNA needed” flag on the CCH records indicates individuals who need to provide a DNA sample. Join this session to learn some practical ideas that local law enforcement can use to improve the DNA collection process in their county.
Presented by Assistant Attorney General Stephanie Hilton, Monroe County Circuit Court Judge Rick Radcliffe and Monroe County Deputy Chris Weaver.
