Course Description: This course will introduce to school staff to the Standard Reunification Method (SRM).  These procedures are practical, action based, responses to any given situation within a school community. The six specific actions performed after an incident include: Hold, Secure, Lockdown, Evacuate, Shelter, Reunify. 

Target Audience: Educators, Administrators, School and District Safety Teams, Law Enforcement, Fire/EMS, Emergency Managers, Victim Advocates

Instructors: Susan Whitstone is the Deputy Director of the Office of School Safety (OSS) with 25 years of experience in law enforcement and education, Corey Passer manages our 24/7 SUSO Resource Center and has more than 10 years of law enforcement experience, and Paul Spoerl serves as Program and Policy Analyst for OSS, is a current member of the Wisconsin National Guard, and has worked in the U.S. Military and law enforcement. Sue, Corey, and Paul strive to bring comprehensive school safety strategies to all Wisconsin schools. They have been trained by the I Love U Guys Foundation and will include practical application of SRM and SRP in school safety and crisis response safety plans.

Training is from 9 am to 1 pm. Bring your own lunch for a working lunch. Please plan on street parking.
