Sexual Assault Best Practices for
First Responders and Investigators
January 22-23, 2025

This interactive two-day training will engage participants in developing interview and investigative strategies that address victim trauma, identifies cultural myths and misconceptions about sexual assault leading to biases, and a broad view of corroboration that enhances understanding of the victim experience.  Through presentations, discussions, activities and engagement with a survivor speaker participants will leave with a substantial toolbox to use that will strengthen case development in a trauma-informed manner.

 

VAWA Resource Prosecutor AAG Miriam Falk will be joined by subject matter experts to include law enforcement and advocacy.  The training is open to law enforcement, dispatch, advocates, medical providers, prosecutors, victim/witness specialists and other community collaborators.

Class Times: 8 AM to 4:30 PM each day. 

Lunch is on your own.
