Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) Seminar for the Adult/Adolescent Population


This 41.75 hour course prepares the RN with the minimum knowledge and skills to practice as a sexual assault nurse examiner.  This is not a certification course; this course gives the foundational basics to begin practice.  This course meets IAFN requirements and is a pre-requisite for board certification eligibility.  To learn more about certification, please visit the International Association of Forensic Nurses.

Applications will be accepted and students will be selected to attend the course. Priority will be given to RNs already employed in a Forensic Program.

Deadline to apply: August 29, 2021. Students will be notified by Tuesday, August 31, 2021 by email and will need to complete the registration process to secure their seat in the course. 

Dates:  Monday - Friday, September 13-17, 2021

Location:   Aurora Sinai Medical Center, Building A (Rapkin Auditorium, lower level) 945 N. 12th Street, Milwaukee. Participants can utilize the parking structure at 856 N. 12 Street, Milwaukee.

Requirements:  Masks and social distancing are required while inside Advocate Aurora facilities.

Fee:  $100/participant
