All newly appointed police chiefs and sheriffs are invited to attend the Department of Justice's annual New Chiefs and Sheriffs Training seminar. This program is geared specifically to meet the needs of new chief executives as they transition into their role as an agency leader.
Some of the topics to be covered at the conference are:
Attendees will also hear about the services offered by their Wisconsin law enforcement partners. Many of the instructors are current Wisconsin law enforcement chief executives who have agreed to share their experiences and expertise.
Registration Fee:
There is no cost to attend this training program. WI DOJ will enter the training time into ACADIS upon completion of the training.
Training Times:
Training will be Monday through Thursday 8:30 am - 4:00 pm and Friday 8:00 am - Noon.
Networking Event:
Monday, January 27 - 5:00 pm we will have a networking evening reception with statewide resources.
We are making a virtual option available for Assistant Chiefs, Chief Deputies (second in commands) to attend the training virtually.
