Drug Take Back - October 29, 2022

The Wisconsin Department of Justice (DOJ) in conjunction with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) will conduct a statewide Drug Take-Back on October 29, 2022. You may register to conduct a one-day drug take-back event and/or to turn over drugs collected in your permanent drop box for disposal.

All disposal boxes requested during registration will be provided by the DEA. You should expect to receive your boxes and liners no later than October 14, 2022. Contact Jamie Kubina at the DEA for more information about disposal boxes and liners.

Only law enforcement agencies may register to participate. One registration per department allowed.

Please consult the DOJ Drug Take-Back Protocol for more information regarding disposal. 



On April 30, 2022, Wisconsin collected a total of 58,840 lbs. of unwanted medications. Statewide more than 135 law enforcement agencies participated in the Drug Take Back Day.


Law Enforcement agencies must register to safely dispose of all collected medications. 

Deadline for registration: September 30, 2022 - to secure deliver of boxes for collection.
