Preparing houses of worship for violence is a very important topic amongst safety team members and first responders across the nation. This class is a preparatory class for instructors who wish to train the churches, synagogues, and gathering locations associated with houses of worship in their area. Basic information will include:
WHO SHOULD ATTEND: Instructors who train churches, synagogues and other houses of worship security team members and law enforcement.

Captain Wayne Freemen, South Carolina Law Enforcement Division
Wayne Freeman has been in law enforcement for 28 years and is the South Carolina Active Shooter and CCTA Training Coordinator. He is a Captain with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division and supervises the State Active Shooter and CCTA Training Program. Past assignments include: special operations, firefighter, EMT, SWAT, medic, tactical flight officer, explosives K-9 handler, bloodhound tracking team, hazardous materials response, fugitive operations, DARE Officer, school resource officer, and others.
His active shooter experience includes: SCAASCAT Instructor, ALERRT 1 Instructor, ALERRT 2 Instructor, LASER Instructor, AAIR RTF Instructor, PACOP Instructor, MACTAC, CRASE Instructor, NTOA Active Shooter Instructor, GTI Immediate Action Team, Blue Line Active Shooter Response, ALICE Instructor, ERASE Instructor, and several other programs. He has trained with personnel from Columbine, Virginia Tech, the Greenwood SC Shooting, Trolley Square, the Naval Yard Shooting, Sandy Hook, Mother Emanuel, and many others. He has trained more than 100,000 students in active shooter response and is the author of the South Carolina active shooter training manual.
